Chris Sandler – Registered Osteopath

Chris has worked in the field of manual therapy for more than a decade. After completing five years of university education to become a registered osteopath he has undertaken further postgraduate training in a Dynamic Postural Model (DPM) that stems from the work of a Japanese medical doctor.  Chris  believes osteopathy provides a way forward for patients with complex and  long standing issues of pain.

Chris practices:

  • Osteopathy: soft tissue massage, muscle release techniques, joint mobilisation, manipulation, and if appropriate, dry needling in addition to exercise therapy and ergonomic advice.
  • DPM: this postural model can be ideal for people with unresolved pain or multi regional problems; for example people with pain in two or three areas i.e. lower back pain and shoulder pain etc.

Chris believes each patient is an individual and subsequently every treatment is tailored to the individual’s needs. The objective of the treatment is to engage the body’s own sense of self-regulation and self-healing through a broad range of osteopathic techniques. On a personal note Chris is a  father of two and a keen sportsman, often playing at an elite level. His love of surfing, sailing and tennis ensures he practices optimum health and nutrition on a daily basis.

Jackson Turnley – Registered Osteopath

Jackson brings with him a keen interest in joint and soft tissue injuries of the lower limb such as hamstring, groin and gluteal injuries, general hip, knee and ankle complaints and shoulder complaints. Jackson’s passion for Osteopathy stemmed from his own extended history with lower limb soft tissue injuries and shoulder injuries.

His first-hand understanding of injuries has shaped him to be a patient and centred practitioner who’s treatments look at the whole body and person not just the specific injury site. As part of his holistic approach to treatment he has also studied dry needling and cupping for soft tissue injuries and finds these approaches extremely helpful when combined with a traditional osteopathic approach.

Outside of work Jackson has a keen interest in all sports and has played local football for numerous years in the Bellarine Football League. When not on the footy field you will find him camping, hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Rorri Phipps – Registered Myotherapist & Remedial Massage Therapist

Since I can remember I have had a fascination with sports, fitness, health and just how the body works in general. This fascination really drove my desire to become a remedial massage therapist, I started my study’s in 2017 with a Diploma of Remedial Massage and started working as a remedial therapist in 2019. While working I went on to complete my Advance Diploma of Myotherapy in 2021.

Since working as a RMT I have worked with patients with sporting injuries, postural imbalances, chronic pain conditions, acute pain presentations and more. The part I enjoy the most is working with a patient to work out where their pain is coming from and seeing the relief and smile on their face when they realise that they are pain free.

I love to travel, play football and netball at Geelong West Giants, get in a good gym sesh and always love a walk along the beach with my family and friends
